Clean and Compact

AIE's rotary engines incorporate a closed-loop dry-sump oil lubrication system. This system not only eliminates wet oil loss during operation but also reduced oil consumption overall reducing exhaust smoke and emissions in comparison with air rotor cooled engines.

Multi-fuel

All AIE's engine can operate on several fuels including Gasoline, AVGAS, JP-8 and Jet-A1. When configured for multifuel operation, AIE's engines also require no physical modification to the engine system when switching fuels.

Low vibration

A rotary engine is by nature, low vibration power units, with no reciprocating components and three power strokes per rotor revolution, mean power delivery is smoother with less torsional vibration.

Long endurance

Due to AIE's rotary engines fantastic thermal stability, long service intervals ability to operate over a wide range of altitudes and weather condition mission durations are determined by the requirements of the application and operator, not the engine.

Few moving parts

Rotary engines have two moving parts, the rotor and the eccentric shaft, by contrast, the average reciprocating engine has 40 moving parts. Less moving parts equals fewer wearing surfaces, better reliability.

High power-to-weight

By design, rotary engines have high power to weight ratios, the combination of three power strokes per rotor revolution and its continuous rotary motion as opposed to stop-start dynamics of a reciprocating engine give a significant advantage in regards to power density.

Low total cost of ownership

When combing all factor such as engine purchase price, operational costs and maintenance requirements the overall simplicity and reliability of an AIE rotary engine delivers an extremely low total cost of ownership in comparison to alternative technologies

Revolutionary cooling system

AIE patented SPARCS (Self-Pressurising-Air Rotor Cooling System) utilises pressurised gases from the combustion process as a medium for cooling in a sealed engine core, SPARCS provides AIE Wankel rotary engines with longer endurance and zero oil loss for increased performance
