AIE Rotary Engine to Propel Low Carbon Sports Car into the Spotlight at Cenex LCV2016

With each year exceeding the last for visitor and exhibitor numbers, the national Cenex Low Carbon Vehicle Event is fully established as an important date for motor industry professionals interested in the latest low carbon technology and business-to-business opportunities.

Taking place in one of Europe’s leading locations for the testing and demonstration of motor vehicles, Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedford UK, the LCV2016 event will be held on 14 – 15 September 2016 to welcome UK industry decision makers, government officials and supply chain representatives to view the very best in low carbon technology development that UK manufacturers have to offer.

As one of the UK innovators for low carbon engine technology, Advanced Innovative Engineering (UK) Ltd will also be looking to replicate the success from last years’ LCV2015 event in which they were selected as featured engine exhibitor, by demonstrating the progress of a distinctive new collaborative project to develop a low carbon, high performance sports vehicle.

Exhibiting on the Niche Vehicle Network stand, AIE will be showcasing their high power-to-weight ratio 650S rotary engine featuring patented technology designed to improve the fuel efficiency and environmental performance of the vehicle whilst delivering optimal brake horsepower with significantly reduced carbon emissions.

The extraordinary small form factor of the revolutionary 650S rotary engine will be available to view at LCV2016 integrated within the distinctly British, Westfield open top sports car as part of a collaborative project to develop a new Westfield high performance vehicle utilising an Axontexâ„¢ carbon fibre structure from Axon Automotives and an AIE rotary engine designed to meet the low carbon challenge.

With AIE roots in rotary engine design extending back to Norton Motorcycles, the new project featured at LCV2016 is yet another step forward in rotary engine innovations for the company with possibly one of the very first performance sports cars to feature a high efficiency, low-carbon rotary propulsion engine.

To witness the remarkable advancements of the 650S Wankel rotary engine that will challenge modern perceptions of rotary engine capabilities, take a moment to visit AIE (UK) Ltd at the #LCV2016 NVN Stand or keep up to date with the latest news on this remarkable project by connecting with AIE on Twitter @aieukltd or LinkedIn AIE – Advanced Innovative Engineering, (UK) Ltd.
