Surprising Discoveries at AUVSI Unmanned 2015

If you were fortunate enough to have visited AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems 2015 in Atlanta Georgia, USA this year, you would have noticed Advanced Innovative Engineering (AIE) representatives enthusiastically demonstrating the Wankel Rotary Engine maker’s innovative propulsion technology to a range of industry experts at the annual must-attend event.

Held this year in the Peach State’s capital on May 4-7, AUVSI attracted global attention as professionals from unmanned technology industries made their journey from many points of the globe to discover and share latest innovations and technologies in the field.

This strong ambition to discover new innovations brought many interested conference delegates to AIE’s stand; here visitors physically examined the lightweight 225CS 40bhp rotary engine and were surprised to learn how AIE had produced in-house, such a compact and lightweight engine capable of delivering superior power, endurance, versatility, and longer life.

This led to some lively discussions over how this is made possible by means of AIE’s state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, engineering experience and patented SPARCS cooling system.

Those keen on increasing benefits for UAV applications were drawn to AIE’s propeller-mounted engine assembly featuring the 225CS and the ultra-compact 40S models that are perfect for customers seeking superior performance for small to medium fixed-wing or VTOL unmanned aerial vehicles.

As members of AIE engaged with a range of experts over the 4 day event, it was clear to see not only the excitement around new developments, but how unmanned technology is shifting towards more commercial applications.

Looking back on the AUVSI event, Alex Vaughn, head of business development at AIE commented “What’s interesting is how unmanned systems are now appealing to a wide range of OEMs, such as developers of platforms reliant on series-hybrid propulsion. So we are excited to be part of this development and contribute to enhancing the capabilities of unmanned vehicles across the board with our revolutionary-designed engines.”
